Health supplements and herbal products need federal registration before sale. This has been handled by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) and is being transferred to the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) — confirm the current route with your importer. A UAE-licensed importer or agent applies; we provide the manufacturer dossier, specifications and COAs.
Products classed as food — superfood powders, premixes, dehydrated vegetables — are registered and cleared at emirate level, for example through Dubai Municipality's food import system or the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA).
UAE labels follow GSO standards (GSO 9 for prepackaged food): Arabic, alone or bilingual, with product name, ingredients, net quantity, production and expiry dates, storage conditions and country of origin. We prepare bilingual layouts before artwork is final.
Halal certification for ingestible products should come from a body recognised in the UAE, where the national halal system is overseen by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT). We confirm certifier recognition with your importer before shipment.
